Chunky Garlic & Herbs Recipes

Chicken and Pasta: You will need boneless skinless chicken breasts, fresh-grated Parmesan cheese, and cooked vermicelli or angel hair pasta. Cut chicken breasts into bite-size pieces. Spoon 1-2 Tbs. of oil off the top of your jar of “Greta’s Chunky Garlic & Herbs” and put into an electric skillet or frying pan. Preheat oil, then sauté chicken pieces until cooked through and browned. Add “Greta’s Chunky Garlic & Herbs” to pan (use approx. 1/4 cup per chicken breast). Sauté for 3-4 minutes then add cooked pasta. Toss until warmed through. Add fresh-grated Parmesan cheese to taste. A delicious dinner in just 15 minutes!

Halibut or Salmon Steaks: Rinse 1-inch-thick fish steaks and pat dry. Place on foil or baking pan. Spoon “Greta’s Chunky Garlic & Herbs” sauce over the fish then bake on the barbecue until fish is cooked through.

Barbecued Chicken: Simply marinate chicken pieces in my “Chunky Garlic & Herbs” sauce for an hour or two and then barbecue! Baste with sauce as you turn, until chicken is golden brown and cooked through. Before removing from grill, sprinkle chicken with fresh-grated Parmesan cheese. Continue cooking for just a minute or two until cheese has begun to melt. Try serving this with garlic mashed potatoes!

Shrimp Scampi: Sauté cleaned shrimp until pink with: 1/4 cup butter, 1/4 cup white wine, and 1/4 cup “Greta’s Chunky Garlic & Herbs.” Sprinkle with fresh-grated Parmesan cheese and pour over cooked vermicelli pasta or rice.

Roasted Chicken: Stuff a whole chicken with celery sticks, quartered onions, 1/2 sliced bell pepper, carrot sticks, parsley, garlic and “Greta’s Chunky Garlic & Herbs.” Rub “Greta’s” sauce all over the chicken. Bake in 350 degree oven for 1-1/2 hours or until tender.

Portobella Mushrooms: Sauté sliced mushrooms in butter, lemon juice, white wine, garlic, parsley and “Greta’s Chunky Garlic & Herbs.” Or, just add a generous amount of “Greta’s” to the cap of each mushroom and barbecue or broil 5-7 minutes, then slice and serve!

Italian Sausages: 10-12 Italian sausages, 6 long sweet green peppers (seeded & cut in julienne slices), 1 yellow onion, thinly sliced, 1/4 cup olive oil, 6 Tbs. “Greta’s Chunky Garlic & Herbs.” Mix all ingredients together and bake in a 350 degree oven for 1 hour .

Meatloaf: 2 lbs. lean ground round, 2 eggs, 1/2 cup bread crumbs, 1/4 cup “Greta’s Chunky Garlic & Herbs,” 1/2 cup ground pork sausage, 1 Tbs. Worchestshire sauce, 1 tsp. seasoned salt, 1 tsp. seasoned pepper. Combine all ingredients and bake in a 350 degree oven for 1 hour. Baste the top of the meatloaf with “Greta’s” 15 minutes before done.

Marinated Bean Salad: Combine garbanzo beans, kidney beans, green beans, black beans, chopped celery, sliced green onions, and sliced mushrooms. Toss with vinegar and oil dressing and “Greta’s Chunky Garlic & Herbs.” Refrigerate at least 2 hours before serving.

Spaghetti Sauce: Add 1/4 cup of “Greta’s Chunky Garlic & Herb’s” to any spaghetti sauce or tomato sauce. Sauté sliced mushrooms in butter and add to sauce for additional flavor. Pour over cooked pasta. You can also add cooked ground beef, turkey sausage, or chicken to this recipe.

Fried Chicken: Coat chicken pieces with seasoned flour and fry in cooking oil until fully cooked and golden brown. Using a pastry brush, baste chicken with “Greta’s Chunky Garlic & Herbs” and serve.
